Congrats to the Samsara folks. Hypothetically, if I had an offer to join Samsara in 2019, and I had x number of shares in that offer, how does one calculate how many common shares that translates to?
Surprised you didn’t join in 2019. What was the offer? The company seemed to be on such a solid trajectory that year
$200k base and $80k rsu per year.
$8.9 was each RSU as per Dec 2018 valuation of $3.6B. Assuming you got RSUs and not options back then. Now it's $23. So slightly less than 3x https://forgeglobal.com/samsara_stock/

would have made 400 ish a year after refreshers from the 2x on IPO
Samsara only 2x-ed from 2019? Big tech did better than that on average.
I'd say it 3x-ed from 2019. Valuation was about 3.6b in Dec 2018. Of course, if you joined earlier than that you would be raking in the dough right now.
Valuation has 2xd since 2019. BUT it has 20xd since 2017 ! wtf? What numbers do ppl get over there ?
I have an offer from them but the upside looks limited in this environment
What's the offer?
Can't disclose yet. What are your thoughts on the growth potential?
I got an offer in 2021, and stock almost 2.5x from offer to open price
Did you turn it down? Why?
