Compensation wise both look equivalent. Samsung asked for my in hand offer letter which i had to share. Then they just gave an equal amount (lesser base actually) and a bigger bonus with 3 years clause. Though Samsung's offer may look lucrative at first glance, but after all the calculations, it turns out to be 30K more per annum!! Work in general is easy going. Work pressure too is less than SSIR. The appraisal process too is better than SSIR. Layoffs in HDD are relatively low. Unless you are very slow at your job, you should be good. Samsung in general will be more stable but work pressure and team mates can really get on your nerves.
Join samsung. WD is unstable. You may not get sti.
Definitely Samsung if you compare with wd, coming to finance at wd- hikes can be missed , variable pay can be missed , yearly rsu can be missed or very low, wlb depends on team , layoff could happen . So Samsung will win here but culture at Samsung will be bad compared to wd . My suggestion would be Samsung if u compare with wd
But I read that hard disk division is very stable!! It's the bread and butter of WD
Incentives (E) = Performance bonus(290000) + Joining bonus (800000) Is it correct or incentives are different from joining bonus and performance bonus ?
Samsung. WD can afford to pay STI and LTI once in 3-4 years. Salary raise is sub par if at all it happens.

HDD is worse pay than Flash. From the info above, SiWorld may be in Flash.
