I'm from Oceanside! Loved it š
Point loma
La Jolla! If I had big $$$ Iād move there in a heartbeat.
Once I get big stacks Iām moving to Del Mar
La Jolla is great but crowded and kinda overrated tbh. Carlsbad, Encinitas, and Del Mar are more spread out but just as beautiful if you ask me.
The answer heavily depends on your lifestyle and what you're looking to get out of living here. Are you single, do you have a family/kids, do you like being close to bars or close to the ocean or both, do you want to live in a super super safe neighborhood or are you willing to trade a bit of that peace of mind for a more urban experience, etc etc
Anyplace in San Diego is better than anyplace outside of San Diego.
Realest answer āØ
Oceanside/Vista areas are kind of going through a renaissance/gentrification where they are getting really hip and less trashy than they once were (sorry to the ones who were there before this, but seriously, the gangs, tagging, abject poverty were not ācharacterā or āquirksā). There is enough of the edge still there that itās cool and not yuppie, but there are good restaurants, breweries, and some emerging nightlife beyond dive bars.
Probably moving to Carlsbad, any tips?
