Recently interviewed in A'dam, got some offers: 62k from a fintech startup, 65k from a consultancy + 5k yearly learning budget + car, currently 90k@🅱 +bonus + 🧦. Heard Uber is good for TC.
At Uber TC for L4 is around EUR 120-130K. For L5 (Sr) it will be around 170-180K. Stock IMO is given at a steep discount, so on IPO the above numbers might shoot up (that’s what I expect at least). We talk with a lot of people from Booking who are looking for more professional challenges / higher eng quality. Heard infra is good at Booking, other teams have lots of tech debt & outdated eng practices (eg no code reviews, unit tests, monolith codebase). How are you finding the eng culture? Assume it’s different for each team.
