Will be moving to Seattle in a few weeks to start a new job. What are the best neighborhoods/suburbs etc for a single 32 year old straight guy? Nightlife, social scene etc are the priorties for me. Will be working downtown. Okay with commuting. TC: 305k Edit: Just wanna thank all the wonderful people who are giving thoughtful answers and not being verbally abusive for no reason! #seattle

The best advice is to not live in Seattle lol. Better quality of life and beautiful neighborhoods 15-30 mins outside of Seattle. Also consider that even living in Seattle you’d still need a car to navigate. Buses are unsafe here and you wouldn’t wanna walk the city. Might as well live a little outside of the city. NORTH AND EAST ONLY. Don’t move south
thanks. Yeah, I’ve heard bad things about Tukwila, Burien, Renton etc
Avoid buses at all costs. They are even worse than in NYC. I still have post traumatic flashbacks from the last time I was on a bus in Seattle.
Queen Anne, Ballard, Fremont, Wallingford
Fremont, Ballard, Roosevelt, U-District, Wallingford
Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard, U District, Fremont, Cap hill,
Madrona/ Madison park is lovely and quiet but also extremely accessible to downtown and cap hill. Definitely one of the pricier areas of the city though.
Cap hill or Uptown
Uptown isn't real. That's called lower queen Anne and no marketing blitz can change that
🤫
Capitol Hill
I doubt you can afford any of decent neighborhoods. Just go to Iowa
Where are you moving from? What company/tc will be drawing? Office location? All of them can help people to answer your queries better.
