Everyone in Seattle is slightly pudgey, even the active ones. I think it’s all the micro brew beer calories. Hiking is not enough to keep you skinny. I think the weather also keeps people indoors most of the year, and you can’t really make up for all that non-exercise in two months of good weather. Also, you haven’t seen obese until you’ve traveled to the South or Midwest. Suburban people are bigger than Seattle people, but not South/Midwest big.
