Hello blind friends I am moving to the Seattle area for work now that the pandemic is over(ish). I've been hearing co-workers talk about the tax benefits of Bellevue vs Seattle especially as it relates to RSU comp. I have not been able to find details on this and am wondering if somebody here could help explain them for me? Thanks in advance! #taxes
By tax benefits may be they meant taxes on gas, online delivery etc. Pretty sure RSU will be literally the same as you are mostly paying for federal and social security.
I don't think there's a difference at the moment. Seattle city council is way crazier than any city on the Eastside, so they relentlessly propose taxes on virtually everything (incomes above $200k, straws, Amazon head tax, etc.), but none of them passed yet that would affect personal income. However, they may succeed in some next iteration.
Thank you. This might be why I've been having touble finding details on it. We are thinking about buying a house and wanted to know if this is a huge issue that we need to consider
One example is there was a significant extra tax on car registration if you lived in Seattle vs the Eastside. I’m not sure if that still exists.
Never heard of this. Following
