Security engineer, investigations (i3) at meta
I have an interview coming up in few weeks. What type of scripting question will be asked for this role? https://www.metacareers.com/jobs/1828129084319480/ I’m pretty average at scripting and don’t have confidence to write scripts during the interviews. If I know at prior hand at least the types of questions such as for example: data manipulation then it would be easier to prepare. #interview #cybersecurity Tc: 180k
You want to do it asap within a week because these roles are competitive and need to be filled.
Is scripting interviews pretty similar to software engineer interviews or can I expect simpler problems set? Just trying to understand coding expectations for this type of roles

I advise looking into leetcode easy as well
Recruiter told me take as long as I want. And the dates after May were greyed out. I’m requesting for later date after choosing the earlier date. Recruiter hasn’t responded yet. Is asking for 6 weeks of time reasonable at meta?
it really depends on the hiring pipeline and how many people they have interviewing, and I don’t have that data. You can take as long as you want for sure, but if someone interviews before you do and passes, then the offer will go to them. Again, if you aren’t ready don’t interview because you are rushed, if you fail there is a cooldown period. But if you are reasonably ready then postponing might shoot you in the foot
