Got tired of shit WLB at Amazon India. Crazy pressure to make unrealistic commitments, and then chasing you for why did we miss dates. No sprint planning. Everyone works their ass off. So even if you put some extra hours, or on weekends, it might not be seen as extra. My total YOE is 1 year at Amazon only. So want to know that is it my org only? Amazon only? Or such things happens in whole corporate world. What options do I have? Keeping in mind the lockdown situation too.. At this point I'm even considering government job.. thinking that this is whole corporate life. Seeking serious guidance.
Get internal transfer next year preferably on an h1 rather than an l1 then jump ship. This year is hard to do so
Can not move out of India, thanks for the suggestion though.
org?
You’ve got computers at Amazon. Have them do the work. Seriously a coworker told me this a long time ago when we had to run a test pass over many configurations and it made sense
Microsoft India has a good WLB. I joined last year and I never had to work extra hours. Here week deadline means Friday. Its rare to see anyone working on weekends except for DRIs. However this can vary from org to org. In general WLB is much better than amazon but learnings are better in amazon.

Definitely Amazon lifestyle! Either get used to it or switch to different company.
