G10 level engineer. I worked hard for G11, but I didn't make it. I realized there is law of diminishing returns. Beyond a threshold there is no point pushing myself too hard. What are some good ways to improve profile . What should I invest my time on ? Which skills and how to pursue them ? I want to get to SDE level scope in places like AWS. Is investing my time in a mix of leetcode style problems and learning Distributed Systems ( via Coursera Cloud Computing from UIUC ) and Security Specialization ( on coursera offered by Maryland University) . Are the above skills too generic ? Given I am struggling to even get G11 , gaining a mix of leetcode skills and professional skills might help and then I can think what next instead of just slogging more and more harder on current job. Please correct me. Bay area 10 years exp 225k salary
What is G11? Sounds like you should just leetcode and learn system design and then interview for big tech SWE. Both have been discussed on here extensively and you can use the search function to find info

TBH, it seems like you are on the correct path. What makes you doubt yourself at this point?
Like just doing leetcode might get better returns ? I am not sure if courses path is right or not .
leetcode + system design equals interview ready equals great opportunities which cannot be unlocked without it. That’s the game. I’m currently working in eToro (a crypto company) as a senior software engineer making around 480k. Previously I worked for Amazon for 320k. I cracked Amazon the traditional way via LC and SD. Then, using this experience and polishing my interview skills once again, I was able to crack a unique position in my current company. But of course, you do you.
