Im seeing posts on my Linkedin feed from people that got laid off from Segment.com today. Can someone confirm the extent of this layoff? Also what is the future outlook for the compay? Im in the intial stages of discussion for Solutions Enginnering role and would love some insight on this. I really like the product and culture, bummed out to hear this news. TC: 360k
Wow, was interviewing their last year but turned down the onsite.
I saw that there were some layoffs in recruing. Not sure how many or the % but they have a best-in-breed product and will survive this. The future is still looking good for Segment.

Thanks for sharing
I believe in Segment, they have great leadership and product. Salesforce will be hard pressed to catch up with the lead they have at this point.
My friend was a solutions engineer who got laid off yday, so it affected several roles
Sorry got hear that, hope he lands on his feet.
We had hired for the growth we were on track to have this year, and had to lay people off because that explosive growth is just not possible in a post-COVID world, at least for a while. The lay-offs were mostly in sales support, people and places, recruiting, and events.
Segment still is in a solid space and #1 in cdp space. There is a dip in the market and hence this was necessary to reserve cash. Segment will do well within the next 5 years and I am confident about that, about Salesforce eating segments lunch it's just not Salesforce even adobe is trying to enter cdp which only validates what segment does. Segment has been good at what it does for the past decade so segment has a good exit ahead either via acquisition or ipo.
