Sell META buy VOO and AMZN?
Currently in Reality Labs. Cool tech, but I’m appalled by the waste of resources here. I’m also pretty invested in Meta RSU and need to diversify. Considering closing my current meta position and buying ~150k of VOO and ~150k of AMZN Why AMZN? Can take risks (no family / debts) of single stock AMZN is still below pre pandemic and the company sits on a lot of cash Thoughts? TC 670k YoE 9 #personalfinance

Not going up IMO. RTO plus consumers and businesses doing belt-tightening is going to lead to earnings misses and more layoffs to attempt to stay profitable. That’s what my soothsayer believes after looking at the pig entrails anyway. Your soothsayer may have a different read.
Just diversify into index funds. No brainer no matter what's going on with meta

$150k VOO now, then park the other $150k in hysa and DCA into VOO over the next 9-15 months depending on how quickly you want to do it.

I don't have that much conviction on AMZN Their employee satisfaction is screaming a mass resignation on a better market. The peak you saw had a lot of free money coupled with weak competition. Now with retail showing slowdown (recent consumer sentiment), cloud showing slowdown (competition) there isn't that edge of hyper growth. It would be best to keep a lower stake and diversify on something like VOO
It's not like Amazon culture deteriorated just recently. If they could survive the last 2020-22, I don't see why a better job market changes things fundamentally.
2020 22 was actually golden time for Amazon because everyone was shopping exclusively online

I’m at TC 388k but it’s worthless to go higher. Every dollar I make over 250k, 50-60% goes to funding wars or entitlements for a broken healthcare system. Why stay motivated to make more? Government just pokes it in ya.
