Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
I’m planning to leave the current company. I have accumulated quite a lot equity (stock options) over the years. Company is doing ok but not sure about its future. Has anyone tried selling their pre-IPO options on investment platforms ? How does it work ? Any pros or cons ? TC: 180 YOE : 11
Depending on how the paperwork was structured, the company may be able to block this. I’ve seen this happen many times
Thank you, I’ll check in with my stock-admin
read the company grant docs and the docs with the company trying to buy. 1) This is typically not permitted by your company grant docs and 2) the purchase is usually structured as a loan not an outright purchase so even if this is somehow permitted by your company it’s not a sale, it’s a loan. Super risky and ill advised
Why is it super risky ? Sorry I don’t know how it works
I will buy your stock options for 100 dollars, this is my final offer
Haha, nice. Atleast I’ll get $100 profit if company doesn’t have an exit
