Recruiter told me to send thank you note via linkedin if I’d like - after onsite interview. She also gave me their linkedin profiles. What do you guys think? No other way to thank them.
As an occasional interviewer I would hate to receive something like that…
Play hard to get.
Why?
Sending a thank you note doesn’t affect the outcome.
Is not sending notes at all not an option? Being in a technical field, I have never understood the necessity of post-interview “thank you” notes. To me it seems like this custom is outdated and needs to die. I personally have never sent a post-interview thank you note, and I never read the ones I receive.
Why is a thank you note needed? The company that you interviewed for didn’t do you any favor by granting you an on-site interview. You were interviewed since you are competent and fit the role that you were interviewing for. Don’t understand the recruiter’s recommendation at all.
Shits creepy
And awkward
