I have two offers for Senior Data Engineer. **CVS Health** Base - $135K Sign-on - $5K Bonus - 12.5% 401K match of 5% Location - Remote **Vanguard** Base - $145K Sign-on - $10K Year-end Bonus + Partnership Plan 401K match of 4% $1500 Wellness Stipend Location - Malvern, PA (Hybrid) Additionally, I’ve noticed that Vanguard’s health benefits are much more superior and cheaper than CVS Health. I am sure that folks will ask me to go for Vanguard but I am in a bit of a pickle here. I’ve previously worked at Vanguard as contractor and my employer has a clause of non-solicitation and no seeking of direct employment with client for 1 year after termination. I am afraid if I mention this, the offer itself may be rescinded. Any advise, help and pointers is greatly appreciated! YOE - 3.5 #tech #career
Mind sharing which level is Vanguard offer? Is it S2 or S3? I would negotiate Capital One for more. I have seen on blind that Capital One offers up to 180 for DE’s. Edit: My bad, you already work for C1!
Hahahah! No worries! I believe it is S3.
Yoe ?
Updated post. Thanks for pointing it out!
Both seems to be great offer, a new grad DE with 1 yoe here.
Holy shit! That much money for Malvern!? You can buy a house tomorrow on the Main Line lol
401k for vanguard is 4% match on top of 10% of your base salary without any contribution of your own. It vests over 6 years but it is a huge benefit. Had an offer for TS03, 165k with 15k sign on. The salary range goes up to 180k, so you have some room there FYI. EDIT: to answer your question, the background checks at vanguard are very in-depth, they may found out about it from your previous employer.
HR will find out when processing your start papers. Best to ask and if needed go to CVS.
