Going thru process at a few non-FAANG consumer tech players, and hoping to get a grasp on remote base pay for senior director roles (non-eng). TC: 400
Snap/Pinterest >>Reddit
Way way way over 300. At Snap/Pinterest its closer to $1M for a lot of non-engineering roles. Reddit has paper money and a sketchy valuation so I'd avoid for now. Also, Pinterest/Snap both pay as much as FAANG and often more
I don’t know anyone whose base salary (cash) is much over mid-300s at this level. Yes, TC can be way higher, but not sure where you’re getting this.
Senior director at Snap= Vp at reddit
Interviewing for non-tech/non-sales Director at one of these companies and the base is 300k. OTE probably around $500k
Base pay probably 250-300k
Please don’t apply to Pinterest if you think we’re tier 2. We’re tier 1
For me, “Tier 2” was more about user base, not quality. I love Pinterest!

How does it feel being worried about getting let go as your CEO lounges in his 100M+ mansion?
I believe this was meant to be a compliment towards Pinterest.
