Been laid off for 6 months ; 6 more months of unemployment left. US citizen Single no kids Do I take it or continue and hope for something better ? #pm #productmanager #msft #contract #layoffs
There’s your answer - take it and keep looking
I'm not aware of Microsoft outsourcing product management roles. Are you sure that's what's being offered?
Yeah this seems off - also the pay looks insanely low for what I’d imagine a senior PM contractor would make
Yes that was being offered. I passed on it
Pay is lower than intern.
$55/hr is better than $0/hr. Take it and keep looking as others said.
Take the contract role, it's better than $0/hr (although you are getting UE). I did the same (at a huge pay cut - $48/hr when I was doing $80 (=$166K) as full-time), and when I did, interviews and offers were pouring in. It's like the stars align differently when you have a job and applying, versus when you're jobless and doing the same. Good luck!

Should I marry a lazy girl?
Take it, unless you have other roles in the pipeline and keep looking for better options.
Pipeline as in 1st round interviews nothing else in near final stages My fear is that it will take time from interview prep
