Was not sure about it. I plan to reach out but hadn’t heard of this type of request. Anyone knows?
Were you applying and they asked you to submit one or you got a cold call (email/message) randomly asking for a cover letter?
I applied but didn’t submit one. So I’m not sure why they’re asking now.
Sounds like they find it a helpful part of the application process. Write a couple of paragraphs outlining what you’re excited about them and how you/your skills align/help.
Yeah. San Diego here. Any pointers on what to include?
Who even looks at those these days? I’d say pass, if you resume isn’t enough then forget it.
It’s worth the ten minutes I’d say even if snow sucks for ppm
Stocks are good but work culture very bad there
I would say the opposite 😂
My teammate interviewed there last month and it’s worse than joining a IT consulting firm..
Heard about a lot of random firings of senior engineers with no reason given there
I’ve heard of several incl one close friend. He is extremely good so I don’t see a reason why. Others have also talked about similar incidents. They all wrote on Glassdoor but back then management had employees write a lot of positive reviews on glass box to mask them
I’ve never heard of this happening
Weird. I very rarely submit cover letters and definitely haven’t been asked for one when I didn’t provide one (including at SN).

Why did they ask for a cover letter?
That’s kinda why I’m asking.
Did you have any interaction with them before this request and if so, what?
