Hi All, I received two offers from Shipt and Cisco and would love some help / input from the community as to which one to go for. Here are the details: Shipt: - Product Manager level; focus on B2B side working directly with retail partners and would be a new team - Seems like a lot of opportunity for career growth and flexible to transitioning to other teams (e.g., B2C if interested) - TC: ~190K (post-negotiation / final) Cisco: - Product Manager level (grade 9); focus on Webex for global enterprises - Team just went through a reorg, but I will be meeting with my team to ask more questions about growth opportunities, day-to-day work, etc. - TC: ~210K (pre-negotiation; I plan on negotiating early next week) I still need to have conversations with the Cisco team but wanted to get people's thoughts. Also, both teams seem to have a good work-life balance and I really enjoyed speaking with people from both companies. Current TC: 160K YOE: ~3
Congratulations! I thought Cisco was going back to hybrid. Is your role permanent remote or are you in the Bay Area or Austin where they will go hybrid? I’ve heard good things about Cisco WLB, but pay and RSU incentives are team dependent. Pay raise was lowish (5%) last year. Some move towards paying more of the bonus as compensation and thus reducing bonus pool but potential for more RSU down the road. Promos are slow but large org and opportunity to move around.
Thank you so much! My role is completely remote - I'm currently in NYC and don't plan on moving haha - perhaps the policies differ by team? Thanks for your thoughts! They were really helpful - I'll have a call with my potential manager at Cisco and understand more about career growth and flexibility to move around internally.
@KQyQ01 What was the Shipt Product manager level? PM, Senior PM? And what was the comp breakdown?
Shipt level is PM. Comp breakdown: 155K base, 20K signing bonus, 35K RSUs vested over 4 years, 10% bonus
What location? What’s grade 9?
Both are remote and grade 9 is some internal level at Cisco
