Shopify offer
I received an offer from Shopify three weeks ago and was told to wait for the compensation team to approve my offer and send me the contract. That has been three weeks now, the recruiter sent me an email ten days ago telling me to sit tight. Is Shopify planning to freeze hiring? Does anyone have similar experience? #shopify

The new comp framework for existing employees come into effect in September. They’re most probably trying to keep yours on par, which means expediting that process for newcomers. The delay is primarily due to that reason. Hiring freeze in unlikely.

I was told by my recruiter that I will be receiving an offer. It’s now been 4 weeks and I haven’t gotten anything. When I followed up with the recruiter, she told me the comps team is really backed up and would work as fast as possible.
Told 2 weeks ago I have the job with a verbal offer, no offer still. Told it's a system issue relating to the comp structure
Have you already had your team match?
I've applied for a role in marketing so not sure it's the same as Dev roles. I've had my references and verbal offer and they said the official offer stage is the final step
Just seen the stock has split now so that's probably a logical reason for delay if they're looking to offer people a set number of RSU'S, they're probably also waiting to see the impact of the split too. Hopefully we'll see some movement soon

Possible. The APM program has been postponed, all interviews for it have been paused

Finished interviewing for DS position 4 days ago. Recruiter reached out today and set a meeting for next week and said things “still waiting on alignment”. Could mean anything 🤷🏼♂️ Posts here don’t give me much hope of having a written offer by then
Still waiting for alignment sounds like HC hasn’t even decided if they want to extend an offer. I’d still agree that the written offers take ages at the moment, no way youll have one by next week.
Agree. Interviews I thought were easy but I can say the process has been sloooow. IBM interviewed and offered within 1 week. Seems like each step at SHOP is 1 week minimum

I think this is common with a lot of larger companies. Did you ask for out of range pay or are you an executive?
