Shopify rejected me (marketing role) but reached out to have some sort of post mortem interview anyway. It’s so weird that I’m just going to do it. Anyone have similar experience?
Give it to them straight.
Haha!
They may want to reassess their interview process
They also ghosted on that follow up 😂😂
You dodged a bullet it seems like. Better than them making you an offer and then ghosting you after you’ve quit your job.
Maybe they read this post🤣
You don’t want to work for those Dbags anyways.
Huh. I was thinking about applying. Say more about this?
The question I’d be wondering is what they are probing for. Did they do something illegal? Unethical?
I would ask for feedback on how you interviewed. It could be the feedback that could help you get a better role!
Actually it’s a positive thing as they will provide you feedback on what you should improve to get the role. I rather prefer this than the automated rejection email and recruiter ghosting you when you ask for feedback. Feedback should always be welcomed.
When a company does something that you have no association with, it’s not for you.
Shopify pays really shit, don’t they? Seems like you dodged a bullet - they might’ve asked for a referral
no - my gf works there and it’s solid. whole lotta salt in the comments
I think their comp is fine for non-Fangs. Their problem is they are growing way too fast, HC-wise.
“We wanted to hire you but you didn’t make it. Let us do RCA so this doesn’t happen to you next time”
Sounds like they wanna roast you
🤣😅😂
Lol!!! Stand-up material!!!
