I have been seeing a few SDET positions open in Walt Disney on Linkedin for about 5-6 months. I have been very interested in working for Disney as I hear it has good WLB and the pay for the role will be almost 1.6X my current pay. However, I'm afraid to apply in this current recessionary climate and thinking that Disney might get hit hard as people curb spending and therefore Disney might start layoffs if they haven't already. My current job provides good job security but the pay is low and I'm not able to qualify for mortgage for a house with current pay. The house prices currently have dropped and might start rising again after recession is over. So what do you guys think about Disney? Do you think they are doing badly? Could anyone working there add some insight to how the company's doing? Do you think they will layoff? Or have they done so already? Should I take the risk and join Disney? Or Should I stay at my current job TC 🥜 #disney #disneyhiring #disneylayoff
