Why Pronouns shit captured US ? I don’t see this anywhere else
Retail Ecommerce Company $55,000 with overtime paid hourly No benefits Salesforce Admin/Developer 1 YOE Implemented SF Sales/Service/Marketing Admin for 40+ employees developed custom visualforce components and apex triggers for OMS functions from within SF Sales. Ecommerce Management 4 YOE I’m considering staying for another year to add to my SF developer resume and then shoot for a senior level admin position instead of accepting a junior level position now. Am I fooling myself by arbitrarily waiting and should just leave for a junior SF position @ $65-70k now? I’ll likely see max a $5-10k raise in the next year at my current position. I live in NYC. Bachelors in Operations Management. DIY taught code developer.
Yes you should leave, jumping jobs especially at that level you'll probably be able to double your income and get benefits Five years ago I left a job at a crappy agency (which was my first non-freelance job out of college making $56k) to work at a retailer for $105k
This is my first position out of college and I’m almost @ 2 years at the company. I’m just hesitant to leave as I feel like the quality and size of the projects I’m managing are unheard of at my age.
That sounds like some resume content to me, I definitely recommend leaving - there's no other way to basically guarantee a 20-50% raise and a title boost. The agency I worked at was my first "real" job after college as well, after working at a nonprofit and freelancing for a design shop for a while. I was only at that agency for 9 months or so (I coincidentally was also was fired from it for trying to press for higher standards) If you have been really showing ownership and taking on more responsibility it would be a LOT easier to get a title boost to reflect what you do at a different company than at your current one.
yeah you can get paid more than that as a salesforce developer . go to a bigger org and make sure you get benefits . two years is long enough for one company. if you do like your current company though I do suggest that you politely ask for a raise and benefits first, then you can still bounce and get an even bigger package. good luck trailblazer!
I wish!
Get out of there man. I was making 82k at my first job and left after a year for 240k. Go get that money son.
ECommerce and Salesforce are 2 different technology. Jump on the same technology platform at early years of your career. Switching technology will leave you making master of none.
I disagree, exposure is valuable too. You're saying you should stick with whatever the first technology you used. Why not try something new and decide if it's more of your realm of interest?
Make this a poll. You will get your answer in 3 mins.
