Should I consider Arista?

Trying to escape this shithole. Is Arista good in terms of WLB and career growth? I like low level embedded work and enjoy C++ coding, but I also want a career in ML. Would Arista be bad on my resume, especially if I wanna consider FAANG at some point in the future? Have an interview coming up. TC: 260k CAD

Yes, you should consider Arista. Arista is amazing in terms of WLB and great in career growth. If you work in EOS you will mostly be working in C++ and python, if in CVP is mostly Golang and java for backend and JS for frontend, lastly if in tools team is more web dev and agile oriented. Arista would not be bad in your resume as it is currently growing and we mostly focus on quality and testing which are qualities looked in FAANGs. Career growth at ANET is more up to you. Its quite a big company and there is infinite things to do and areas to explore. The AI and ML team is quite small and new, therefore perfect time to join and grab some tasks and learn your way through. We are all just learning together. At ANET, No one will baby sit you, you will have to pursue your own path and passion and others will help you achieve your goals. If you are not proactive you will most likely fail and get stuck in a team/project/area you dont like. To build your case to move to a different team you need to show success in your current team and projects. Most engineers that leave ANET, is to jump into FAANGs. Good luck in your interview, should be C++ oriented

Would you be open to refer me for a position?

The recruiter told me I won’t have opportunities in ML and my work is mostly going to be in low level C/C++ and networking. Is there really a dedicated AI/ML team in Arista? How difficult is it to switch teams? Also do you think this is a good opportunity to break into embedded ML later at companies like Nvidia?
