Long story short - started a startup with few friends, good potential upside (ico and equity), have an early seed investor. But I sometimes feel few other cofounders are assholes, just caring about quick money, not so genuine and don’t value my opinions. At my current company (Oracle HQ), I don’t like the work either. Other cofounders want me to move full time to startup. If i go to startup, I’d have to go back to my home country. I’m 23, parents are financially well and I’m willing to task risk but asshole nature is what I’m most concerned about. Any suggestions?
Are the other cofounders also full time on the startup? Or is it a side gig for them?
It’s both - few are doing it parttime and few are doing it fulltime

You need to learn how to deal with assholes. There will be a lot of them while building your startup
Yes. We don’t have a product yet, but the potential customers and industry folks we spoke to are enthusiastic about idea. It doesn’t mean much if execution fails though
The term asshole is contextual. It depends on what level you can handle w/o being struck or feeling bad. If you feel you cant handle them part-time, what makes you think you can handle them full-time and risking other things?
May be if I go full time, they might start valuing more? Frankly, I’m lost and don’t have much idea
Would you run the startup from your home country? Else how are you supposed to be involved?
Are they assholes and right about what they say, or assholes and wrong? I wouldn't want to unless you know you can make money quick and get out. But partners vesting and leaving early is a way to never have a follow up round of funding since cap table is unsalvageable.
Stay away from assholes. Don't risk your H1B for now.
I’m on L1-B currently. I can’t change the company here too 😢
