Should I leave TikTok for Uber
Uber are offering a promotion to director, my salary base will be the same as I have now but including my bonuses (bonus at Uber unclear at the moment) I have good WLB at TikTok currently, unsure if moving to a smaller company with less prestige will effect my going for jobs in FAANG in future. I have done 4 interviews and waiting for final offer but below this is what is currently being discussed. Current TC $150k+60k bonus New TC: $210k base + bonus unclear so far
Promo and base alone beats current offer Isn’t this a no brained?
True, I have it easy at the moment and hit bonuses with low workload, also wfh but have not asked about wfh at Uber yet.. don’t want to come across any sort of way to recruiter

I don’t think Uber is less prestigious than BD. And I’ve worked at or with people from both. Seems like the WLB is the biggest consideration IMO
Uber is not a smaller brand name. You're lucky you have the opportunity, plus I heard its tough to clear interviews at Uber.
I would leave bytedance/ tiktok any time I could simply for the reason they are a propaganda tool of the CCP. As we learn more about how the algo acts within western/US youth it has become clear they can’t be trusted
