Should I leave my new company for Walmart?

I'm starting a new position at Asurion on the 3rd but I'm in a program that would get me an offer for Walmart after passing a course after 18 weeks (course starts the 13th). If I get this position, would it be worth it to ditch my new company? I'd have to give back my 15k sign on and the money I spend on relocation (5k-10k). I'm early career and have no solid companies on my resume, is Walmart worth it? #asurion #walmart

Never heard of pass a course and get a job before… With that said always do what’s best for yourself and your career. Take into account everything

It's a special program with hackbright academy. It's only for minorities though. 15 people get chosen. Very rare

The worst engineers and managers I’ve ever met came from Walmart. Well, also PayPal, but at least some senior folks leaving Walmart were absolute morons. Your mileage may vary.

What did they do that made them so terrible (not disputing what you're saying but I've never been a swe anywhere else)

Maybe we only got the bad ones, but we had a manager come over and she tried to bring some of her ppl with her. The first Senior SWE could not pass our interview (we did NOT have a hard process). The manager insisted we let him try again. So then we gave him a code review style interview. He claimed he never did code reviews at Walmart. He failed again. So she just talked to HR and hired him despite his failures. She was a Director or maybe VP level I can’t remember. So after him she just hired directly without having her people interview. They were all disasters.
