Same pay band in all locations. I may well just move to Puerto Rico. TC: $200k
what is the advantage of Puerto Rico compring to no tax states? Dont you have to pay federal taxes anyways?
They pay less bc not every federal benefit extends to Puerto Rico.
You have to pay like 33% income tax in Puerto Rico unless you're moving a business there and qualify for act 20/22. Depending on what state you live in, the tax you pay will likely be the same or higher. I do feel you on moving to PR though, I have considered moving there as well just because I love it there so much.
Isn’t Puerto Rico poor as fuck and high crime ?
No. People on the internet act like the crime is way worse than it is. It's not bad at all. But in terms of poverty, about 48% of people there live below the poverty line if I remember correctly. It is a beautiful place though. There are some downsides to living on an island, but I would love to live there and have been considering moving there for at least part of the year.
Seattle and San Francisco are way worse
Do it for the mamacitas
Only right answer here

Just don’t buy a house there. Hurricane will come and destroy it in a world where sea surface temperatures are the highest they’ve been in millions of years
