Does blind still love Google most?
People always seems to be bothered by caste based reservations but not by caste system itself. I would say lower caste people getting discriminated or killed is a lot more serious issue than general category student not getting admission in Premier college because of reservations.
With caste, the surname needs to go away as well. It is useless to have a surname. The first name alone is enough for identification.
Caste based system should go. But it is the backward class people who themselves do not want it to go. They are in majority, so politicians won't hurt them.
lol. No!
Thats the unfortunate truth. The newer generation may not want it but the previous one definitely want it to continue. Also the app is mainly used by tech people - educated, having world view. Not by common people who still believe reservation is the best way forward for them.
It’s just like wishing minority appeasement politics to go away. It’s coming to USA and already in Europe.
It sounds like the identity politics playbook written by the British masters that's adapted everywhere. Never fails in leaving an impact for generations.
I was told about this....isn’t it where universities have to reserve certain slots for lower castes to encourage upward mobility? I can see some issues with this similar to what we see in stuff like affirmative action. If you accept someone who is not prepared for that level of challenging academics then you may just be setting them up for failure.
Yeah, for several generations. Never fails!
Caste brings diversity
Country specific tags are needed to cater to a better audience.
Yeah what's a caste Is that like how people who work at FAANG are better than everyone else, and people who work at Oracle are untouchable?
Wait what?
