Should we keep daylight savings year round?

Daylight savings ends this upcoming Sunday. I'm super unhappy about losing an extra hour of sunlight in the evening. I hate leaving work when it's dark outside. Florida has already got its support locally through sunshine protection proposition, but will most likely get killed in Congress. California has prop 7 up in the ballot for this upcoming election.

Yes for sure

Weird poll dude. How about option stating “I like to have a bit of light in the morning so I can get going”??

Microsoft richardhea Nov 1, 2018

No, that would be just going to work. Useless. Having some light to do things after work is better. 🍆

Google Xr13zs Nov 1, 2018

Yes for sure. It doesn’t make sense currently. Leave it on year round. Essentially get rid of it and just shift the time zone a bit cause fuck getting dark at 4pm.

why don’t you just adjust your work schedule? maybe your manager is fine if you continue with this clock.

I think so. The whole point is to save energy in the evening. While energy costs aren’t anywhere near what they were during WWI, I think we should just stick to one time standard than switching and screwing up everyone circadian rhythms. I’d prefer standard time, but I’m in the minority on that so daylight savings time it is.

Yes standard time natural

Uber jHu5B3 Nov 1, 2018

Standard time it is. DST in winter morning is nightmare for school kids. Too dark too cold.

Microsoft richardhea Nov 1, 2018

So leave an hour earlier. Who cares? 🍆

Vertivco FastPapuan Nov 1, 2018

Everyone.

Microsoft richardhea Nov 1, 2018

I don’t, so you definitely not everyone. Unless you work in retail when you go to work is more or less irrelevant. If your company cares when you show up, they are micro managing morons. 🍆

Uber jHu5B3 Nov 1, 2018

No. It should go completely. 12pm should be the real noon.
