I'm doing ok on system design and behavior interviews. But in every onsite, I bumped on 1 coding interviews. I tend to get more nervous on coding round and brain freeze, so I even had trouble in LC medium if I never seen the problem before. How to improve?
Practice
Jerk off more
^This. Even between each interview round.
gotta feed the beast
practice for the coding. a chemist for the nerves
How many lc have you done? I used to be like that. Once I hit 200ish questions, I am more confident. Code more on whiteboard/paper.
How many hard/medium/easy?
I have done about 300 now. Hard 30, medium 180, rest is easy. Note: many medium tagged questions now become easy... hard -> medium.
You work at Amazon so you must not be terrible at them. For me the main thing was to do lots of interviews. Also, being employed and financially stable during your interview process takes a lot of stress off.
Go to the interviews during/just after your vacation
How did you get into Amazon ?
You need to further understand why you are nervous. Is it fear of failure (keep practicing), is it anxiety (work on calming techniques - deep breathing, tackle the problem again and see if you retained any learnings - if you don't fix it here, it might impact your interviews as well), is it lack of knowledge (revisit fundamentals and application of those fundamentals)?
