Got picked up in H1b lottery this year. But already I am sick of being on visa. If USCIS cannot give us green cards within 1-2 years then why should I pay taxes? I heard it’s taking 10+ years for Indians in EB2 to get GC. Give me green card in exchange of paying hefty taxes. I am yet to file my GC. My priority date is likely to be 2024 under EB2 India category. Current visa status: F1 OPT YoE: 6 months TC : $180k
For using the US infrastructure like roads, etc?
We get to see the your tax dollars at work, road sign
Canada is open
So you just want to keep earning money without giving anything back?
That’s not how this works 😂
taxation without representation
Does India give representation for Bangladesh’s refugees? Double standard much?
You aren’t entitled to representation, you aren’t a citizen.
I mean…you can leave the US if you don’t want to pay taxes. You don’t have a right to permanent residency.
No tax in Saudi Arabia. Something stopping you from going there and working?
Because he’ll pay taxes with his body with the working conditions LOL
Exactly
yeah, talk nonsense about a country that's giving you an opportunity. P.S. I'm on visa too. Let's not turn it into a privileged vs non-priviliged fight.
Why should you stay in the country if there is no GC?
To get away from annoying relatives asking when are you getting married 😋 To get away from annoying in laws from interfering in your personal space and life. 😋 To be able to buy white shoes that doesn't get black on first day of stepping out of home 😋 To be able to own and ride luxury car brands like BMW, Audi, Merc which is unthinkable back home. 😋
Ok then better pay taxes too
