Side Business $5k+ a month: how do I inform new company
I have a side business LLC that generates $3k-$5k a month. Barely takes 5-10 hours of my time a week. I am potentially picking up a new position and would like to report this side business. Little worried that the new job will not like it. How do I approach them about it during offer phase? Did anyone have similar experience? It's important to me to not hide it, because I want to add it to my LinkedIn. TC: 0 (potentially soon 400k+) yoe: 9

Are u on visa ? If yes, you cannot. If not Any new company can only enforce 40hr week from you, do not have to disclose anything. Does the offer say you cannot do anything of non conflict outside ?
I dont have the verbal offer yet but I guess your right that I should wait to read that. And no not on visa. I’m aware I had the business for 2 years now.
Yeah just take action based on the offer letter. In Linkedin, you can write it out - if they ask you can say - I offer consulting in my free time or weekends and it is just a passion. No one really cares unless its having some conflict

Cloudfare i think I may have seen you on one of the side business threads talk about it. But anyway no none of those countries. It’s my home country which is super small and has untapped talent. Can’t say cause it would narrow it down easily

Not sure why it’s there business to know, but aslong it’s not direct competitor or you using company secrets to gain profits. Just don’t need conflict of interest Think lot of people have side hustle, heck even CSuite people serve on board of directors, do speaking events

This is one thing I hate about LinkedIn. It basically wants people to put their entire professional lives in one place where anyone can see it.
Is it a direct conflict of interest with the job. I don't think you need to disclose it. Are you getting a W2 or just 1099
It’s just IT outsourcing so not really a conflict with any of the companies I received offers from. It’s an LLC so I don’t get neither w2 nor 1099. Just paid through LLC
