Side hustle using LLC?

Is there any way for your company to find out about your side hustle if you do it for a LLC? LLC will be registered under a family members name.

Yes. Do not use company hardware, IP or time to build your own hustle. If it will be valuable - they will take over it.

Define 'company time' during WFH.

It will be left for a jury to define, if it becomes valuable.

Even if it’s in your own name, they can’t really find out unless you use their devices or their network

Thanks. if they find out later, like I get series A and quit, will they really come after me (assuming I didn't use any company resources)?

If they think you stole IP, they will.

The most common nark we see in conflict of interest internal investigation cases is a family member / spouse / intimate partner.... Probably 80% or more of the time.

Can you elaborate on this

Comcast ANzb54 Jan 11, 2022

Sure. The company you work for won't magically know that you're infringing on a no conflict of interest contract clause. Something or someone has to bring it to the company's attention. The vast majority of conflict of interest cases that get refered to my internal investigations department were brought to our attention by the violator's spouse / family member / intimate partner because of a domestic dispute. Something like a fight or a falling out or a divorce triggers them to want to screw over the employee. So they file a report and now the company knows about it and starts digging.
