I applied for a role at Amazon and I'm preparing for the onsite. In the meantime, LinkedIn suggested another position, which is similar to the first one (basically identical skill set, but different BU within Amz), and which is slightly closer to my domain expertise. Would I get in trouble if I applied for that one as well?
Split loop interview is not uncommon at Amazon.
I interviewed for one team, rejected them for compensation reasons and joined another team for the same compensation. The recruiter told me that if I'm joining for the same level, I don't have to give interview again. I can't interview for a higher level unless one year passes.
u will get only one offer l4 or L5
Why? Is it because they try to give L6 to only internals?

Just got scheduled for a surprise 1:1 with my skip today
Nope. I did a double loop. Its common.
What happens if I get offers from both? Or if one says I'm l4 and the other I should be l5? Or one says 'hire' and the other 'no hire'?
There will only be one bar raiser on the split loop who will decide whether you meet Amazon bar and if yes, what level. So leveling is consistent across teams.
