Why doesn't OpenAI offshore and reduce expense by 80%
I got a job offer from a large startup in Singapore and submitted my work visa through their agency a few weeks ago. The ministry of manpower rejected it due to Covid. The company said everyone is getting rejected except for "essential workers"(health care) and we'd have to reapply at a later date. I was planning to move and have started to prepare as I was assured there would not be issues ("maybe delays") Anyone else experiencing the same predicament?
Mine was submitted on 25 March, got the approval yesterday. The agency told me though only those in essential services are being given the pre-arrival approval, so I have to wait anyway.
Lucky you. So you were approved but not pre approved? So you can start working right away?
Yeah, basically I have the work pass approval but cannot enter the country. Not sure if I can legally work in that case, need to confirm with the related people but perhaps yes.
Applied in Feb, rejected a week back. Same situation as yours
Sorry to hear that. 1 of 3 looks like. I was told all rejected so there are some inconsistencies someone
Most people are getting rejected. Some people are quite lucky to get EP at this time. MOM website clearly states that they aren't accepting many EPs.
where are you from OP? I have an acquaintance that just got his accepted. not sure if country of origin is a factor
I'm an American citizen but loving on Tokyo... You could be right.

Same here. Applied on April 3rd. MoM instructed to reapply after circuit breaker is withdrawn.
When is it expected to open lockdown & start processing EP?
Tc or gtfo
Relevancy to the topic? GTFO troll.
