Why or why not? Is it more convenient to not have to mention where you work to people you meet in real life (potential partners) cos they can already see it on your Facebook bio/status. Could this potentially attract more gold diggers? Am I digging myself a hole by not having job details on my Facebook profile for dating and meeting new people? Discuss. Edit: Am I making dating process harder for myself if I don't show these "prestigious" companies in my bio? I notice a lot of college students stamping their internships onto their Facebook bio. Edit 2: wrong gold digger phrasing: What I should have said instead is if if advertises yourself better/puts yourself out there.
Lol wtf

Honestly, if I wanted to check someone’s professional cred, I’d check LinkedIn over fb
Exactly the way I think. But why is it that I am surrounded by college students who show off their work details/prestigious internships is what I am getting at.
Probably because they are proud of what they accomplished?
Also, there is an easy way to screen out gold digger: don’t drive a fancy car, don’t take your date to anything expensive that’d be out of the ordinary for you. Gold diggers go for people who show off wealth because they want to get some of that wealth.
Lie. If that’s what gets you the pussy then so be it.
I find it kind of obnoxious how people have their entire resume listed on their fb profile unless you want to find people in the same network. I can’t tell you how other people see it, but in my exp girls who are impressed by your resume are weird or boring as shit.
This is the way I see it too. But I was maybe getting slightly paranoid cos I am leaving my Facebook bio blank and literally everyone around me has whole resume jobs in their fb
What's the option for public profile blank and job profile blank even for friends?
I wish I could do it but my company doesn't pay enough and isn't selective enough.
If you’re a guy in the Bay Area you’re shooting yourself in the foot if you don’t. There are so many men with high-paying jobs that lots of women have that as a criteria when looking for a guy. True “gold diggers” aren’t too common in this area because of the high income they need to meet to live here in the first place. FANG salary isn’t special enough to attract them here anyway (elsewhere it is a real concern).
Sadly this is true. It's like going to a career expo without putting your GPA on there. Sure some employers would love to see the classes you've taken and talk to you about your side projects. But most of them are going to assume that you've got a shitty GPA. Leaving off your employer in the bay area makes a lot of people think "well... I could connect and see where he works buuuuut that's too much work I'd rather swipe on someone exhibiting stronger signals" YMMV.
TIL saying you work at Amazon attracts golddiggers 🤣🤣
Outside of the Bay Area it absolutely does. 300k is a big deal elsewhere.

Ok I guess I used the wrong phrasing. What I should have said instead is if if advertises yourself better/puts yourself out there.
We don't have enough money for true good diggers. Hoodrat baby mamas my aybe, but not real good diggers.
