I'm wondering if an Instant Pot will add anything to my life as a bachelor. I already have a rice cooker and small pressure cooker. Seems like most of the benefit is in making large quantities of mushy/liquid foods. I cook a lot of pasta at home, and lentils, but it's just for one person. Most recipes for the device are for 4+ servings. So would an Instant Pot make sense for me? I would like to start cooking more varied things if this would make it easier.
Definitely TC would be relevant here. If it's high enough, you don't need to cook for yourself.
Lamb and vegetable stew seasoned with tears from abject loneliness, constant rejection and a dash of inferiority complex.
Beef stew Brown the beef, add in garlic and tomato paste and sauce, then whatever veggies you got in the fridge along with some seasoning
Instant noodles....
Instant pots are best in cooking ribs. It cuts the time from 3-4hrs in the oven/grill to about 30mins IP and 15mins broil in the oven. Meat so tender it falls off the bone. People think I cooked it for hours.
Soft boiled eggs, steamed veggies, rice, stews, many other things. I like the schedule feature, so that breakfast and dinner are ready with a very little preparation.
Everything , it is amazing . Any meat with spices and water. Any vegetables with spices and tomato sauce . Rice. Steamed vegetables. Eggs.
You can shrink the recipes, doesn't hurt to go halfsies.
Sounds like you cook everyday, I tend to cook in bulk (meal prep) so the size actually works out for me. And if you are trying to eat healthy pressure cooking is easier and much safer using an instant pot.
