Slack aquistion by Salesforce
I noticed a pattern with all the previous Salesforce acquisitions. Whenever the rumours of acquisitions came into market, the stock of that company (Tableau, Mulesfot etc) rose by approx 35% in couple of days and the price plateaued. Since Slack price already went up by 35% in the last 2 days, doesn't it make any sense to still buy Slack stocks? What are the Pros & Cons?
It gets “leaked accidentally” to tigger other potential bidders so there is a good chance for more upside. Plus over 10% of float is sold short.
Tableau, Mulesfot aquistions were true. Not just leaked news. What I am not sure if there are significant gains to be made by buying the stock now?
Just a couple months ago there were Datadog acquisition rumors by Salesforce. DDOG popped like 25%, rumors fizzled and they’re back down
Bought some at $42 today. Let's see what happens to them tomorrow close of Business when the announcement is supposed to come.

It’s not all stock it’s like 2/3 cash 1/3 stock. $27 cash and .0776 CRM per share of WORK

I wouldn’t buy slack. I am not sure how it would play out if CRM is acquiring Slack for less than current price per share.
That never happens because stock owners would sue them. They always pay a premium
@Tableau - did you own Tableau stocks before acquisition by SF.com ? Was the M&A big win for you?
