It's apples to oranges, teams comes with suite!!
Wasn’t this expected ? Msft is a dominant enterprise company. Can easily crush any b2b products …..
Not salesforce lol. Expected bc they give it for free as part of the suite, not because it’s better. Only reason enterprise is still on microsoft is excel
Yes that is what I meant. Anything related to Office suite msft gonna win
Teams comes with the outlook bundle, and primarily used for meetings. It even has the auto open at startup - very few care to check or even close it Slack is much more popular for text messages sent I'd be interested to see the amount of user interaction on a daily basis (number of texts sent etc) rather than DAU For example, in almost all eng teams at Nvidia, we use teams only for meetings Slack for literally everything else, including quick huddles I have had days where teams was open in the background but never opened it
Teams is free. And slack absolutely awesome.
Is there any numbers on usage (like actual minutes, amount of messages, etc)?
All this chart shows is that boomers still run IT orgs
Slack may be better for small companies/ startups with fewer employees. Slack’s enterprise offering will be not as robust and good as Teams for large companies with thousands of users. Teams has direct Integration with outlook. Slack growth trajectory shows growth has plateaued. Not sure what exactly is Slack’s unique value proposition. Why should companies prefer Slack over Teams?
Have you ever used Slack? What made you think that Slack isn’t good for large companies? At Salesforce we use Slack and Salesforce has 80K+ employees around the world and majority of them still WFH. The whole company runs on Slack. Same is true for a large number of the Slack customers.
Slacks Enterprise offering will not be robust? It already exists and is robust enough serving fortune 100/500 companies. It is fantastic as a Product. Used it here at Salesforce and last 2 companies i worked at as well.
teams literally comes installed with windows 11.
This is like saying that Edge is the best browser because it comes with Windows
Except Chrome has many more users than Edge whereas Teams has many more users than Slack.
Just comparing number of users doesn't define a success or failure of a product. Android users are farrr more users than Apple. That doesn't make apple bad. Slack is good. Like really good irrespective of the user base.
I’ve never used teams, but I’m a huge fan of slack and I don’t think Salesforce paid less.
