I am expecting an offer from Slalom. Team has evaluated me for Principal Consultant and Solution Owner in Business Advisory group. As per recruiter, All my interviews went very well and team is leaning towards solution owner. Recruiter has shared estimated TC of 155k Base for Solution owner vs Principal Consultant 175K Base. How can I ask for Principal Consultant and more salary? How can I approach? Wait for Slalom recruiter to write me an offer and then negotiate or let the recruiter know what I am looking for? Previously, I was rejected by an employer when I demanded more money before writing an offer. Current Role: Sr. Program Manager Current TC $150K YOE: 15 Location: Bay Area #slalomconsulting #slalom
The name has always been weird to me, Slalom. Not sure where they came up with it.
I think it is based on shalom. Jewish company I believe. I’ve heard great things though
Slalom pays only 175K for principal consultant ? I would say that's too low. assuming this in Bayarea location.
Yes, its in the Bay Area. So what is the salary for Principal Consultant and Solution Owner? Also how to ask/ upgrade to Principal if they offer me a Solution Owner role?
Go for another company. Slalom isnt worth it. Read the writing on the wall!
What about if i don't have a choice. My current employer is about to layoff the whole department.
If you dont have a choice, park at Slalom and look for something better later.
Hi hashicorp do you know if slalom nyc market is as bad as bay area ?

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
I would not join Slalom at all. I have worked there for 8months and I wish had never accepted the offer. Their salary is low, their benefits suck, they will only give you bonus if you reach a very high high number of successful consulting hours and their projects are short and awful! Do not join it. Go to a reputable company that will give you a solid experience. Stay away from Slalom!
I thought they had a great culture when I worked there, though none of the projects I worked on were all that fascinating. I thought their benefits were good.
