Any ideas on which companies could be interested in potentially acquiring Smartsheet in the future? #smartsheet
I thought perhaps Amazon, since Smartsheet runs on AWS?

I was surprised to hear about Gene Farrell leaving recently. He was a major player at Amazon then helped to make Smartsheet a true player in the Enterprise space.

I believe it's remotely possible.
There are many players that can acquire Smartsheet. It depends on how our stock does, one bad earning can cause our stock to drop by 10-20% if not more. There are many private equity companies that would love to own us at that point. Big companies never acquire for revenue, usually it is for talent, intellectual property, or coz they feel the company complements their existing product suite. With that in mind, I'd think legacy shops like Oracle, IBM, HP would be interested in Smartsheet to boosT their cloud story.
you just listed three companies that are the laughingstock of the tech world. How the hell do you think they could afford Smartsheet? And why do you think they would want to buy us?
I'm thinking perhaps even Zoom. Boost their CWM strategy. Or yes, Salesforce.
