Got an L4 offer from Snap with a TC of 420. Currently Senior at LinkedIn with a TC of 380k and I will touch the cliff very soon with a TC of 250k. I have 10 yoe and my staff promo might happen in a years time. Snap L4 is a good offer and I am super bullish about the company. However I am interested in getting into management soon. How hard is it to become a manager from L4 in snap? Thanks.
What’s the breakdown of your offer?
There is a very good chance I might be found out if I give that info. Sorry.
Also l4 to L5 is how many years on an average for a person who is working hard and performing well ?
L4 is a relatively junior level. Management role at that is impossible. Even at L5, management roles are very rare. Most first level managers are L6.
Makes sense
Mind sharing the interview experience? Is it true that they ask DP hard ?
Hi OP since you know your offer i am assuming you team matched already, how long did it take for recruiter to come back with teams after positive verbal update on onsite.
Not easy as L4 to L5 is difficult internally. You need to be L5 to get into the management program as an IC.
Thanks. So L5 is manager level 1 and L6 is senior manager is it ?
Manager roles officially begins at L6. L5 manager is only for internal IC who wants to transition into a manager. This also isn't an easy track to get into unless you excel at being a leader.
