Hi, after on-site I took additional round for L5 Senior Engineer position. It was coding round that went well . We finished 10 minutes earlier. I thought L5 offer is in my pocket. But recruiter said they need to run my case by levelling committee once again. What is it? How long to expect to hear back? TC: 450K USD YOE: 14 Level: Senior SDE L6 Update: got thumbs up and move forward
Their new hires have strict leveling. The expectations are high atleast for current quarter.
Didn’t get your answer and proof link to the source if you don’t mind
Cleared L5 DS tech lead in Nov. I delayed the offer by 2 months. Now they saying 4 days a week in office and 7yrs strict Yoe for tech lead and down leveled to L5 Sr DS
So What is this Levelling Committee about? How hard they are on the case?
We're busy with promotion panels. Might take a while. But Snap recruiting is usually very fast, everyone is forced to give the decision within the deadline.
Thanks for the info. A month or a week?
Snap L5 is Google L5.5/L6
Sorry how is this related to my question
My current level is L6 AWS. I think it maps well to L5 Snap
The issue is that I went through all 5 interviews. I solved all the problems both system design and coding. For coding that I saw in the past I asked to switch it as I was scared they didn’t catch a signal. I may be experienced a little bit difficulty with binary search, but no coding problem that I couldn’t debug and run over tests. I could also do good over behavioral questions.
