So snap L4 gets paid like 400k but base is 180k which means stock is like 220k. For something like today, with 20% down, literally stock value goes from 220k to like 175k so your TC goes from 400k to 355k. Of course the opposite is true. Stocks flying as high as 70, you have reached fk you money TC 2M. I cannot fathom working for companies whose TC fluctuates this much. I would rather work for a series c or d startup at that point for the upside..
It's ass. I joined GH at the top, I sold my rsu's at an 80% loss. When a companies comp is too volatile the churn will spike.
Negotiate a good base salary and HODL the stocks for 4+ years. 🤗
Had someone join at $12 as an L4 with 3 yoe. Made $1.3MM. No idea how much he sold.
Tc is actually 253 annually, not 400k.but ya it drops if stock drops, so here's hoping it sky rockets 🤞
Paper money bro. Just like the railways paid in their own paper last century.
Many people can cover daily necessities just fine with their base.
People can cover daily necessities fine working at Wendy’s
I thought they give refreshers to make up for it
If the stock can actually go up in a reasonable amount of time ( 5 years) I’ll take the deal
It's not going to 70 again, don't worry
Hey google, choose your poison
We all are picking poison and gambling at this point. Silicon Valley is a big Las Vegas
