Thinking about heading there. Have about 3 years work experience at Amazon. Sde2, Been working on Alexa. 1. Is snap still hiring or are they still on their hiring freeze from their IPO? 2. I used to hear all these stories about their interview process being extremely inconsistent, and even people answering their questions perfectly getting rejected? Is this still the case? Any new hires care to share their story? 3. How is the growth prospect? Of course IPO just happened so stock grant is going to be less, but I wonder if it's still a good time to get in, kind of like the early days of Facebook. I do like their new vision and brand as a camera company and think it has potential.
Give it a few months to see if it will fizzle, and then reassess. There's no point in assuming all the risk of a startup and getting almost none of the reward.
