I'm having trouble deciding so would like to ask blind. Which internship do I pick for summer 2022? Ideally, I would want to work towards a new grad offer so I will likely be staying at the company for 2023 full time. I have offers from Snap and Databricks; Facebook (final round, pretty confident), and Roblox (not sure I will pass) I am still interviewing for. Leaning towards Snap and Databricks but can't decide between those two, it is coming down to location, WLB. I feel like I will learn the most and work the hardest at Databricks but have the most fun at Snap.
Facebook. Get that FANG on your resume but snap would be my second choice. Congratulations on your offers and hard work
Come to Databricks! Interns work on super impactful projects. Most interns return and we been rolling out one of the best new grad TCs in the past few years... especially if you account for stock appreciation. Company is growing super fast so WLB for FT is not the best but not far off from FB/Amzn. We have a super strong leadership who truly care about staff so they been committing to improving WLB but only time will tell. Founders are really involved in engineering and I've seen many interns interact with at some point.
Guess I am just worried about WLB. Honestly, I am quite lazy, so I am scared I will not be a good performer at DB compared to people working 50-60 hrs/week. How is promo there?
I interned previously and didn’t work more than 45 hours a week max
@OP did you get all the questions from leetcode tagged ones ? Were the questions from top 50 tagged or list or top-100 (6 months tagged list) ?
I’m joining Roblox in a couple of weeks, but I still think you should take FB. Having FB on your resume open way more doors than the other ones. I did internship at FB way back and was an awesome experience…
When did you interview for FB and what questions were asked in the internship Interview?
Any advice for databricks final round?
I'd say Snap. Santa Monica is 🔥
How is it without a car?
Transportation in LA sucks. You need a car to get from point A to point B but you'll also be stuck in traffic for decades in said car. But Santa Monica is indeed 🔥. Would be great if you can live near the office. But my vote is still for FB.
