Snapchat users
Is Snapchat “the Apple” of social networking and if yes then why it hasn’t taken over every other social network? I’ve had Snapchat on my phone for many years now, but still haven’t been able to get hooked on it at all. The question is why and do others feel the same way? The app from first glance seems very innovative and engaging too. So why I am not able to get used to it? Are there Snap employees who feel the same way? Do all Snap employees actively use Snapchat to communicate with their friends and family members or as an engagement plaform? And last but not least, how did you end up becoming an avid Snapchat user? What features of the app got you hooked? #misc #snapchat #snapchatcompany #snap
Also, messaging is blazing fast on Snapchat, or at least feels like it.
Snapchat is good for dating. People are hesitant to share phone numbers. Also, self destructing nudes. 😉
It fills a niche in messaging when you want to show your close friends something thats going on in your day but don’t want any expectation for them to respond. Its a sweet spot of casualness yet personal that other apps haven’t been able to replicate. You need other close friends who use it or it wont make sense.

I have this feeling that most social media businesses are based on fads. It's trendy for a while, then people move on to something else. 5 years ago we were all hooked on it, now it's kinda stale

snap is for connecting with your friends. if you don’t have a lot of friends on it then it’s not really for you. it’s pretty popular with teens and college kids
How about its employees? Do all of them have and use Snapchat actively? Do people apply at Snapchat for work without being active users of the platform or not being users at all?
yeah most of us are older than average user and therefore don’t use it much... but i saw same thing at previous fang companies i worked at
