The longer you stay at Intel, the lower your pay compared with Market rate.
^this is so painfully true
🤔What is the pay range for G9 in bay?
250-300k
My TC at Intel: 196k. My current TC at FAANG: 405k. That’s it.
Location before and after?
Both in Bay Area.
For every 2 Apple engineers that go to intel, 98 intel engineers go to Apple. This is not new OP
Usually the 2 apple engineers' significant others work at Intel
I understand this. But I don't see as many posts of say AMD folks jumping to FAANG.
I spent 20 years at Intel without meeting a single former Apple employee. Wait, just mike bell. Only 1
To run CEO’s pet proejct
I think this topic keeps repeating on blind. Intel has 110k employees, far more than many other semiconductor companies. It's just natural that you will see more applicants from Intel vs other companies.
A big section of those work in fabs. In terms of silicon engineering, the number of employees should be comparable to other chip companies
Even if you discard the fab folks Intel would have more folks than Nvidia, AMD and Qualcomm combined.
I think Intel employees in general get more time to prepare for interviews... so trying their hands at faang like everybody else.
Is this a convoluted way of saying Intel employees are given less work?
I think most ppl here will agree that Intel ppl in general have better wlb, hence more time to do other stuff. But it certainly doesn't apply to each n every employee.
Simply because pay is way more at 🍎
Apple TC is much higher for Intel engineer with grade 9 or below.
