Pass out of a shitty college. Ask parents to fund your masters in America. During OPT pretend to start a company with an .ai domain. Make a webpage that calls ChatGPT in background. Give 2 YouTube interviews about how you have the best solution available in market and no one else has optimised the ChatGPT call using python http request module better than you. Use founder + Active press to file for O1 visa claiming you are a founder. Once approved go and work for big tech for actually earning money.
Pass out?
Indian term for “graduate”
The meaning comes from this:
Seems like a lot of smart work. I’d rather someone this smart get a visa or greencard than some andhra university graduate who can’t even write a linked list.
Both are not mutually exclusive
As an Andhra University graduate, I am offended 🤡🤣
Why don’t you do that if it’s so easy. Most people are lazy and won’t put in so much effort to go through all this
Exactly , also hundreds of VC funded startups were basically a front end built on ChatGPT apis. Why hate on people trying to make it somehow?
They are rich in India; so they are insuring their children’s future by setting them up for getting and being rich in the US. Pure merit based MS admissions in US ivy league and top unis is a thing of the past. An MS in CS from CMU is not even remotely close in terms of competitiveness to a BS or a PhD from CMU
Yeah, what's the deal with CMU ? The quality of their masters graduates is low. Maybe they have too many CS like masters programs ?
If the college is accredited appropriately then it might not be ivy league but its not shitty. Just not good perhaps. So u can get off ur high horse.
Clout and the opportunity to settle in US?
😂lol you can pass from the accreditated college without so much as studying a single subject😂
Nice plan
Being jealous doesn’t get us anywhere, it just makes our lives miserable. Life can sometimes be too short to be spent dealing with this crap.
Pretty much lol, almost every interviewer I had form us companies recently I checked their linkedin and they were from a no name in india or whatever, got a masters that they rushed super fast in the US and their first job out of school is at AMD or NVIDIA like how? Why?
Maybe some of us chose no name colleges in India to save money for masters. I know I’m smart and that’s what I did.
Are the “no names” you referring to IIT/BITS etc? If yes no wonder they rushed through US masters
Do YouTube interviews qualify as press ?
I really don't think so, unless it is in a large audience channel
You would be surprised at what qualifies as press. People think you need to be in front page of fobes magazine and reality is you need to be on 3 rd page corner of no name newspaper

Getting mentioned in press is tough.
Lots of such cases use parents $$ and connections to get tons of press coverage in India and get invited to some shitty state government “tech conference” back home. They use this to show press mentions, like how little Sreevarya developed her passion for AI in high school and knew it will be a revolutionary game changer, and how they started developing AI apps for fun on the side and now they give international talks on AI without being able to explain what a Probability Density Function is.
You can pay for articles on places like Forbes.
